NS MB courts water- deprived Selangor factories

Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan has invited factories affected by the water rationing in Selangor to move to his state instead.
He said this in response to Nestle Malaysia's statement that the company was losing RM15 million a day as their operations were affected by the water rationing, according to a Berita Harian report today.
"If (Nestle) wants to move, they can come at any time  to survey a suitable location in this state (Negri Sembilan).
"However, we also know the cost of moving is quite high," he was quoted as saying.
Mohamad guaranteed a stable water supply for industries, pointing out they are placed in a strategic location with sufficient infrastructure.
"There are a few water-based industries in the state such as Coca Cola and Yakult.
"The water supplied is not only sufficient but also of quality which has prompted multinational companies to invest in the state," he was quoted as saying.
However, Mohamad stressed it is not his intention to incite the companies in Selangor.
A large part of Klang Valley has been under water rationing for more than a month as the state's dams are at critical levels due to dry weather.
