Police have released two out of seven men held for the murder of Estonian model Regina Soosalu  at Pulau Rawa.

According to Bernama, Johor CID chief Hasnan Hassan said the duo were released after statement were taken.

It is, however, unclear if the two released include Soosalu's boyfriend, Johor royal Tunku Alang Reza Tunku Ibrahim, 28.

Tengku Alang Reza was remandedfor one week on July 11.

Hasnan reportedly said that those still in custody are aged 25 to 35 years.

He also urged anyone who has information on the case to contat the Johor operations room at 07-2212999.

Soosalu (above), 30, was found dead on the island off Mersing, Johor on the same day she arrived on the island on July 1.

It was reported that the couple's friend saw them together at a jetty there before she disappeared.

Royal assaults

She was first thought to have drowned, but police suspected murder after finding wounds on her body.

Following her death, Tunku Alang Reza (below) wrote an emotionalFacebook post lamenting Soosalu's death.

In 2012, Singapore'sStraits Times reported that a Briton residing in Singapore alleged he was assaulted by bodyguards of Malaysian royaty on Pulau Rawa.

The same year, hip hop singer Mikael Adam Mohd Rafae claimed he was assaulted by royalty at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.

Celebrity Hunny Madu implicated Tunku Alang Reza's brother Tunku Mishal Shahrin in the assault, but this was not proven.

When asked on Twitter, Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Ibrahim then said that he does not like Tunku Mishal and that Tunku Mishal is banned from Johor.
