The menteri besar said this when asked if he would dismiss the opposition leader from his post following the sacking of the five Selangor exco members.
"We will discuss it with exco members," he said in a press conference held after the weekly exco meeting today.
Anwar was appointed in 2010, with a salary of RM1 a month.
Last month, Anwar said he will resign from his post if his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, replaced Khalid as menteri besar.
The two-term Selangor menteri besar also said he would allow the PKR to proceed with its congress scheduled on August 22 to 24 at the Melawati Stadium.
“We will allow them to have their convention at the stadium,” Khalid said.
Last Saturday, the PKR’s disciplinary committee expelled Khalid from the party for his defiance of the party’s decision to make way for PKR president Dr Wan Azizah as menteri besar.
Following the sack, PKR’s share of the 56 seat state legislative assembly has dropped to 13 from 14.
The remaining seats are held by allies DAP and PAS, both of which have 15 seats each, while the Barisan Nasional’s lynchpin Umno holds the remaining 12 seats.
