The advice by Dr Mahathir Mohamad to Prime Minister Najib Razak is something normal and is a personal view following the observations of a former prime minister.
Felda chairperson Mohd Isa Abdul Samad said every individual had his own view on the leadership of the nation, but when an opinion came from a statesman, it attracted public attention.
"I don't see any problem, what is done by Najib is in line with the current times, but the government must take cognisance of the advice.
"It (advice) is normal, except that Mahathir is a former Prime Minister, so he gets more attention," he told reporters at a Merdeka Aidilfitri Celebration and Feting Would Be pilgrims for the Felda Alor Setar Region at Felda Bukit Tangga, near Changlun today.
He was commenting on Mahathir's statement in his blog in which he mentioned several things which he regarded as weaknesses in the administration of Najib.
Mohd Isa, who is also Jempol Member of Parliament, said he was also confident Najib could manage the nation well and was capable of changing something which was not good.
Earlier, in his speech at the event, he urged Felda settlers to stay united and not easily be duped by outside influences.
"Discuss with the block chief or manager if there is any problem, don't take the easy way out such as by taking matters straight to court because it will disrupt the Felda plans," he added.
Meanwhile, he said the drop in the price of palm oil was a normal matter due to the market forces.
In this regard, he said Felda was striving seriously to develop the downstream industry such as by manufacturing vitamin E.
