Who Created ISIS/ISIL?

Any army, even a rag tag murderous and psychotic army, will need funding, logistics, weapons, communications equipment, recruits, training and a command & control system. These are basics. The ISIS has all these and more.

Where did they get them? Who helped to set them up?

1. There is enough information on the Net that the ISIS were initially trained by the United States as a barrier against Bashar Assad of Syria. The US has not denied this role. Maybe at that time they were not known as ISIS or ISIL or IS.  Even until today there "is no policy" by the US to confront ISIS in Syria. The bombing campaign is too little.  It maybe too late now.

2. Bashar Assad of Syria has also found ISIS to be useful to him. Since the ISIS is fighting everyone, including other Sunnis like Jabhat Al Nusra, Bashar Assad has left ISIS quite unmolested. There have been few battles between Bashar Assad's forces and the ISIS. They are leaving each other alone. ISIS needs time to kill as many people as possible and Bashar Assad is encouraging them. This will weaken Bashar Assad's other enemies (like Jubhat Al Nusra) and help him conserve resources.

3. Turkey is playing a huge and active role in arming and supporting ISIS. Everyday many trucks cross the Turkish-Syria border carrying weapons and supplies. Wounded ISIS fighters are getting hospital treatment in Turkey. Many Turks, especially Kurds, are fighting on the side of ISIS. Some reports say 10% - 15% of ISIS fighters are of Turkish origin. Erdogan wants to see Bashar Assad fall.

4. Saudi Arabia was also behind the funding and creation of ISIS. The Saudis channelled  money to all parties that were fighting Bashar Assad in Syria.

 5. The biggest 'silence' towards the ISIS comes from Iran. A few weeks ago an Iranian general (General Suleymani) with full agreement of the United States was appointed the overall commander of Iraqi troops. Can you believe that? An Iranian general commanding the Iraqi army with the blessing of the Americans? But since then nothing much has happened. There have been skirmishes between the Iraqi Army and the ISIS. Other than recapturing a 'dam' in Mosul the Iraqi Army has not recovered much ground from the ISIS. Maybe they too wish to see the ISIS kill as many Sunnis as possible. The Iranians and the Iraqis would like to see the ISIS fight the Kurds who have almost declared autonomy in northern Iraq.

It is very, very confusing. So where do our own confused 'pro jihadi' guys want to sit? Or stand? For example Hadi Awang's son in law said he supported the caliph in Baghdad. I dont think he knows what he is saying.

The problem is whenever you create monsters, they always get out of control. The Hamas was created by the Israeli domestic intelligence agency the Shin Bet. In particular there was a department within the Shin Bet that was in charge of Hamas. Guess what was the name of that Israeli department? It is called YAMAS. So Yamas created Hamas.

"Sherut haBitaẖon haKlali acronym Shabak or the Shin Bet, is Israel's internal security service. Its motto is "Defender that shall not be seen". It is one of three principal organizations of the Israeli intelligence community, alongside Aman (military intelligence) and the Mossad (foreign intelligence service). Shin Bet's special operations unit is Yamas."

The US and Pakistan also created the Taliban - a baby monster that grew up and has now become a huge beast.

Before that the US created the Al Qaeda also in Afghanistan - to fight the Soviets who had invaded Afghanistan. The Al Qaeda grew up and bit the hands that fed them.

This is from Yahoo News :

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has allowed ISIS to thrive while bombing and torturing Syrians on an industrial scale throughout the war.  "Now that ISIS has fully matured, the Assad regime and Iran offer themselves as partners to the United States,"  "For the first time, Assad is striking ISIS in Raqqa and locations inside Iraq, in a perverse harvest of the terrorist seeds he planted to quash the civilian-led reform movement."

Both Iran and Syria want concessions from the US. The US sanctions against Iran are almost over. Even Israel does not talk about bombing Iran anymore. Now the US wants Bashar Assad to prevail.

Or maybe not. Because now the US and others are saying that it may take years and years to fully get rid of ISIS. This means that many more thousands of supply trucks will be crossing the frontier from Turkey into Syria to resupply ISIS for years to come. Maybe for as long as Erdogan remains in power. And Turkey is a very strong ally of the US as well as a NATO member.

So on whose side would you like to be? Let me make a suggestion - choose OutSyed The Box. My philosophy is 'MYOB' or Mind Your Own Business.

p.s. Maybe its time for that Big Mac. Anyone care to join me?
