Ibrahim Ali cannot be let off the hook, says Penang

The Penang government has demanded that Datuk Ibrahim Ali be charged over his Bible-burning call last year, and said the Attorney-General should review the decision not to prosecute him.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng also said de facto law minister Nancy Shukri should redeem herself and the Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail should be instructed to review the decision not to charge Ibrahim, who heads the Malay rights group, Perkasa.
"We want him charged under relevant laws. The A-G should know which law to use," he told a press conference at Komtar today.
He said Ibrahim had neither retracted nor apologised for his remark, even after it was proven that no Malay bibles with the word Allah were distributed at a school in Penang last year.
