Nov 4 or 5: D-day for second dope test

International Federation (IF) says sample can be tested either on November 4 or 5.
IKUALA LUMPUR: Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has said that the international federation (IF) has proposed either November 4 or 5 to be the possible dates for the testing of the B sample of “a national athlete” for banned substances.
The second test will be conducted because the athlete failed the first when his sample tested positive for a banned substance called dexamethasone.
According to a report on The Star, Khairy explained, “The international federation concerned have given November 4 and November 5 as the dates for the opening of the B sample. At this moment, the athlete has not made a decision.”
It was also explained that once a date was fixed, the athlete would travel to Oslo, Norway to witness the opening of the B sample.
The athlete will be accompanied by Ramlan Aziz, chief executive officer of the National Sports Institute (NSI) and Nishel Kumar who is head of Adamas (Anti-Doping Agency of Malaysia).
Although no official announcement has been made in regard to who the athlete in question is, it is widely believed he is badminton champ Lee Chong Wei.
