Oktoberfest shows why DAP, PKR must break off with Hadi & gang: And when Pas gets to Putrajaya...

Oktoberfest shows why DAP, PKR must break off with Hadi & gang: And when Pas gets to Putrajaya...
'There's no compulsion for PAS members to participate in any of the Okoberfest activities.'
Jiminy Qrikert: PAS deems their pressuring Oktoberfest in Selangor being moved into a covered car park a resounding success. Now PAS Malacca wants to demonstrate a similar success through pressuring Oktoberfest in Jonker Street.
In essence, PAS is showing us all what will happen when PAS does get to Putrajaya. From north to south, east to west and across into East Malaysia, PAS will ban anything they deem offensive to Islam.
If this does happen, then PKR and DAP will be the ones to be blamed for making it possible for PAS to be in Putrajaya.
So, while Umno continues to persecute Christians to establish their Champions of Islam credentials, PAS attacks all things un-Islamic towards the same objective in a clash with Umno to be seen as the true Champion of Islam.
By the time they are finished, Malaysia will truly be broken, shattered, torn from limb to limb but sanitised to the combined standards of Umno and PAS Islamists. Broken but duly robed in white.
Sleepy: Come GE14 Pakatan Rakyat should also field candidates from PKR in PAS constituencies, if not legally possible then friendly independent candidates. Reason: to make PAS insignificant in Pakatan. My only concern is political "frogs". So choose wisely.
Keturunan Malaysia: Right, Sleepy, if we cannot have trustworthy independent candidates to vote for instead of PAS, then vote Umno. It is better the devils we know than the devils we don't. PAS is getting more ridiculous by the day!!
Anonymous_3e86: There is no compulsion for PAS members to take part in any of the Oktoberfest activities.
Anonymous_3f4b: It is a question of what the non-Malay voters want. Do they want a country wrecked by religious extremism and fundamentalism which accords them no rights and freedom to do what they deem is allowed in their religion or do they want a strong PAS to counter the effects of the excesses of Umno in the field of education, economy and all things discriminatory?
They have to weigh the scales and decide which is which and whether the political coalition of the BN has served Malaysians well since independence, albeit with faults, warts and all.
Or, do they want to see a new dawn and new political landscape encompassing the likes of PAS, the future of which remains uncertain and unclear but with a hint of trouble as the alternative coalition will never taste power without the involvement of PAS, which will stand in most of the seats during the general election.
Hopeful123: This PAS ulama, I heard, travels on a camel all over the country as modern automobiles are brainchild of the beer drinkers. Haram.
FairMind: “Islam does not prevent non-Muslims from consuming alcohol but turning it into a festival purportedly goes against the religion and endangers the rakyat.” This argument is flawed.
If Islam doesn't prevent non-Muslims from consuming alcohol, I don't see a festival for non-Muslims consuming alcohol should be prevented. Alcohol is consumed on Chinese New Year and on any festive days as well as in celebrations such as company annual dinners, farewell dinners, birthdays, etc and social gatherings like football matches, between friends, etc.
These festivals, celebrations and gatherings have not been prevented, so why should Oktoberfest be any different? Do people have free sex after consuming alcohol or go on drunken rampage after Chinese New Year or company annual dinners?
Such wrong thinking is just the imagination and excuse for these so-called protectors of Islam to meddle into other people's affairs, show off their holier-than-thou attitude and bully the minorities.
Imanust Nais Yalam: PAS, ask yourselves which of these problems is more important - Oktoberfest or ISIS? To me, PAS sees Oktoberfest as being a bigger threat than ISIS, as I see little or no action has been taken against the ISIS threat. Where are your priorities? The Oktoberfest patrons or the ISIS supporters?
Anonymous_1371477558: I'm not a Muslim and I don't drink. I had a business partner who's a Muslim but loves alcohol. He told me I make a better Muslim. I asked, "Just because I don't drink?"
Should a Muslim, or for that matter, anybody, be judged by whether he consumes alcohol or not? Is drinking bad? There are millions of people who drink and stay sober. And there are millions who don't drink but commit evil. Why pick on alcohol?
Cocomomo: Drunkenness is a sin in many religions, though moderate drinking is allowed. If you do not want to drink or do not have the moral character to control your drinking, do not participate in the Oktoberfest.
However, do not try impose your values (if really have any values) on others. What about corruption that is robbing the nation of its wealth? Moderate drinking, by those who are allowed to do, does not rob the nation of its wealth but adds to it, you narrow-minded man. -M'kini
