PM Najib In Milano.

This is not necesarily the news ok. Its just a lark, adapted from The Star. So do chill.

Warm reception: Najib being escorted by Major Domo, Sargent Garcia and Corporal Cappucino at the Linate Military Airport in Italy. The Italian Prime Minister was away at lunch.

Najib Tun Razak is in Italy’s second most populous city for the 10th Asia-Europe Meeting (Asem), to look at ways to increase job opportunities in the two regions. This will be new territory for the PM.

Since his wife was not visible, the Prime Minister will make full use of the meeting to work with the 10 Asean members and 28 European nations, among others, to come up with ideas to boost the economy in both regions.

Milan, the fashion capital of Italy, is also an industrial, commercial and banking centre.  Therefore, it is no wonder that this vibrant city was chosen to host this meeting, held once every two years.  The visitors can combine industry, commerce and banking with shopping and sightseeing. The PM's wife may still pop out of the sky later. You never know.

Many will point out that Milan loses out in terms of architectural wonder compared to the more visually astounding Rome, Florence or Venice.  However, it is still undoubtedly an Italian fashion and shopping capital.

Najib will work at drawing more Italian visitors to Malaysia. Last year, they numbered only between 45,000 and 50,000.  The PM will be using crayons.

The Malaysian Ambassador to Italy said tourism would be a point of discussion since the PM's advisors may not have briefed him on Italian high tech industry.

Trade volume between the two nations grew from 1.83bil Euros (RM7.6bil) in 2012 to 2bil Euros (RM8.3bil) last year.

Najib will also meet with the leaders of Hungary, France, Finland, Lithuania, Transylvania and Norway. He may use crayons to draw their few visitors too.

p.s.  Err bila Boss balik? Before Deepavali ke, after Christmas ke? Does anyone know?
