1. Saudis To Demolish Prophet's Birthplace? 2. ISIS Targets Saudi Arabia

Well folks, the ISIS fellows were quoted as saying (from much earlier on) that they would destroy the Ka'aba in Saudi Arabia. This statement has never been denied by them.

After that they did go ahead and destroy hundreds of mosques in Syria and Iraq which they said were shrines which housed graves of dead people. They said this was shirik or polytheism or paganism.

Now the question is what will the ISIS fellows do if they get to the grave of the Prophet and the two caliphs Abu Bakar and Omar which lie inside the Masjid Nabawi in Medina? Will the ISIS destroy these graves as well?

Anyway here are two stories. The first is a story which says that the Saudis themselves are going to destroy the birthplace of the Prophet in Mecca.

• accusing Saudi of funding & exporting violent jihad
• More than 2,000 Saudi nationals have joined IS
• many Saudis view IS as brave defenders of Sunni Islam 

The Saudis have long been destroying thousand year old and ancient historical relics not because they have no space for shopping malls. The Saudi Wahhabi thrust is that these old places of "religious" significance may become places of worship by themselves. The Muslims may start to venerate these places as shrines. The Wahhabi dogma is against this type of veneration. The Wahhabis call it shirk or paganism.

The ISIS guys are extreme versions of the Wahhabis.  They will not mind if the tomb of the prophet is also destroyed. 

The question is if the ISIS invades Saudi Arabia  and starts destroying tombs and other places of religious significance what will happen to the rest of the Muslim world?
