It’s time to BREAK FREE from Umno's mind slavery

It’s time to BREAK FREE from Umno's mind slavery
There were unconfirmed reports of the existence of a ‘Minds” Ministry within the Prime Minister’s department, whose prime objective was to mould the minds of Malaysians to accept the UMNO leadership and its ludicrous policies without question. It is very much akin to the slavery of the mind and an attempted brainwashing agenda of the masses.
The majority race was targeted very much earlier with the introduction of Syariah Laws to control the daily actions of Malays who were Muslims. It introduced a new way of life, and a code of ethics for the Malays to follow and assimilate without question.
Subtle mind control
Covering the head, conservative dressing and non-partaking of haram “illegal” foods and beverages and followed by the inculcation of religious education at a tender age in the kindergartens right up to adolescence to discipline the growing masses.
The Clergy class “Ulamas” were roped in to ensure that the Malays did not toe the line, and constantly reminded that going against these religious decrees were not only “haram”, but would make them apostates denying them their right to enter heaven.
They also instilled the fear in them that by becoming an apostate, they would not be protected by the law, opening themselves to lynching and attacks or attempts to claim their lives by offended extremists, who would not hesitate to take the law into their own hands.
Today, the Malays have learnt to accept the inevitable without question, preferring to shy away, than to remedy the situation. Radicals and extremists are given free rein to espouse their poisonous venom, in the name of religion, knowing that the average Malay lacks the courage to reproach them, in the fear of being branded a liberal.
Such is the sad state of affairs permeating in this country today. A good example of such venomous rhetoric is the recent JMM fiasco, where they accused Ambank of supporting LGBT by colluding with Metlife International, a US Firm who is supportive of LGBT.
It has also led to a race of people whose behaviour, thought processes and actions have grown starkly different from the rest of the population, which makes Civic consciousness and a united nation difficult to achieve. BN’s psy-ops have succeeded to a large extent, to divide the nation along racial and religious lines.
But it has also led to a race of under achievers, lacking in moral strength and competitiveness, even though they have been equipped with the adequate skills to prepare them for the job market. It has also led to a generation of people who lags behind without adequate focus or ambition to strive further.
The Non Bumiputras
However, another segment of society seemed to be immune to the subtle brainwashing. The non bumiputras seemed more resilient and recovered sooner than the rest, with many automatically voting en bloc against the BN government. Today, BN has another new headache for which they have no medicine to prescribe.
The internet has worked against them, even though BN controlled the MSM, and the only way for them to regain control was to instil more fear by the retention of the Sedition Act to stifle dissent and letting loose the pack of extremist wolves to sow discord and to further divide the people.
Institutions like BTN have many times been accused of instilling race supremacy while insisting its programs were only for the participation of the majority bumiputras. PAS Ulamas have gone a step further to call Umno ‘a party of infidels’ while some religious leaders have declared that voting for un-Islamic parties like DAP as haram.
The ‘pat a dog’ campaign, gave the Ulamas a fright and had them frothing at the mouth over what they described; as such a debasing event. They even accused the event as a devious attempt to insult the country’s Ulamas. The event organizer not only received death threats, but had to undergo investigation by the authorities.
A religious fatwa against Liberalism and Pluralism was recently passed quietly, singling out Sisters of Islam (SIS) as a deviant organization. it has also compelled SIS to file a judicial review against it at the Kuala Lumpur High Court, which was met with vehement protests by PAS Youth, religious leaders and other extremist NGOs who were visibly reeling in shock.
Moderate Malays are fighting back
Moderate Malays who fought back were effectively hampered by religious fatwas to ban liberalism and pluralism, while the courts of law has a trying time to dispense fair justice for fear of being branded liberals or lynched by right wing radicals, determined to impose their extremist brand of Islam. A notable example is the recent NS Court decision on cross-dressing by transsexuals.
Ex-Minister Zaid Ibrahim who declared himself a liberal, has called on Malays who believe and support democracy and human rights to be brave even when they were labelled or accused of being deviant. He also told Muslims not to be intimidated by those who would brand them as infidel, hypocrite or ignorant, as these sick people were the ones who were misguided.”
Zaid also criticised the government and “leaders in the Istana” for staying silent when mullahs were destroying their own people. “Let’s point out to the authorities that even Muslims have rights, and that it’s not them we have to answer to, but God.” he said.
Meanwhile, PAS’s Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said that Islamic authorities must stop using fatwas or religious edicts as ‘backdoor’ to force Islamic law on the public. Dzulkefly insisted that an Islamist must be able to engage the public, be less judgmental towards others, and tolerate differing opinions.
Failure to do these will cause the Muslim community to “retrogress” into a doctrine of “takfiri”, in which one can easily declare others as unbelievers or infidels, as what Pas leaders have done in the past.
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has also chipped in to say that any fatwa, issued by Islamic scholars must consider the realities of the current time, while nobody should declare that only their interpretation of the Islamic scriptures are correct and unquestionable.
But BN’s efforts are bearing fruits
But sad to say, BN’s covert attempts have largely succeeded with nearly 47percent of the population still believing in the BN dream and race supremacy. Then there are the simple village folk who looks forward to the large gift hampers, baby diapers or cash that comes with every election and or simply scared silly to vote for a non Islamic party, while Civil Servants have the uncanny fear that their votes would be discovered by the government.
The racial and religious turmoil engulfing our nation today are clear signs of a desperate and totally dysfunctional government, completely void of ideas struggling to remain relevant.
Many people would like to write off such incidents as smokescreens to hide the government’s shortcomings, but the systematic brainwashing agenda through race and religious means would ultimately turn Malaysia into a failed state, with Taliban warriors running wild and destroying the democratic fabric of Malaysian society.
Component parties of BN, who are purportedly championing the cause of the minorities, remain helpless and impotent at the onslaught of religious strife, preferring to lie low and discreet, pretending that nothing has happened while praying feverishly that BN would make it through the next election.
The refusal of MCA Chua Tee Yong to answer any questions on 1MDB, goes to show how timid these component parties have become in their quest to remain in the good books of big brother Umno, while forsaking the country and its people. BN has seriously overstayed their welcome, and now it’s the time for Malaysians to make the executive decision to boot them out. - MAILBAG
