A large number of questions went unanswered during parliament's Question Time today due as several federal lawmakers and ministers were absent.
The 90-minute session which started at 10am saw the house skipping one question after another until question 24 in the order paper because the MPs who were to answer them were absent.
Ten lawmakers from both sides of the divide were absent from the Dewan Rakyat today.
Ministers from the transport and tourism and culture ministries were also absent.
Usually, the house does not go beyond the twelfth question on the order paper and rarely do other questions beyond that get addressed.
The absences saw the remaining MPs in the Dewan Rakyat good-naturedly ribbing each other, with some calling out the word "ponteng" (playing truant). –TMI
