Kota Kinabalu - Umno Youth Chief Datuk Khairy Jamaluddin urged all Youth chiefs to fully support the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman as he has proven to be a capable leader.
"The Pergerakan Pemuda Umno Malaysia (PPUM) stands solidly behind Musa. He has shown his ability to lead Sabah as proven in the last three general elections," he said.
He also said Sabah was the backbone of Umno as reflected by the party's resounding victory in seats contested in previous elections.
Khairy who is also Federal Youth and Sports Minister said Musa has successfully transformed Sabah.
He therefore urged all Youth chiefs to give their undivided support to Musa in his effort to develop the State for the people.
"Many problems have been solved by Musa. No stones have been left unturned as far as improving the livelihood of the people regardless of race and religion is concerned," he said during a function in conjunction with the PPUM's three-day retreat in Sabah, on Sunday.
He also stressed the importance of the Youth movement to be close to the younger generation because the outcome of the next election would be determined by the increasing number of younger voters as the years go by.

"We should not wait for them to come to us. Instead we should approach them. We should be the ones to champion their cause. Implement the programmes, go down to the ground and do your job," he said.
Meanwhile, Musa who is Sabah Umno Liaison Chief, stressed that honesty and loyalty towards the party and its leadership is the key to Umno's strength.
He said these traits were crucial to further strengthen the party and prevent upheavals and fragmentation within the party.
"With unity and cooperation, Umno will continue to lead and ensure Barisan Nasional will continue to helm the government," he said.
He also urged PPUM to not only work hard to attract the youth to join Umno but also to overcome whatever prevailing issues affecting the party and defend its image.
"Don't be careless, don't be content with what you have achieved. Being complacent could be costly to Umno and BN," he said. - http://www.dailyexpress.com.my/
