DAP members have cars broken into, valuables stolen

Laptop stolen, and windscreen smashed in the 10.30pm incident Tuesday night.

SEREMBAN: Two DAP elected representatives had the shock of their lives when they discovered their cars had been broken into and valuables stolen.

In the 10.30pm incident on Tuesday, S Veerapan and P Gunasekaran said they had parked their cars in a restaurant parking area in Rahang, Negeri Sembilan when their cars were vandalised as they had dinner with other DAP state assemblymen, Sinar Harian reported.

Veerapan, who is Repah assemblyman, said he only realised his Honda CRV had been broken into after dinner and a RM2,000 laptop that was in the car, stolen.

“I was surprised to see the right side mirror broken and discovered the bag containing my laptop in the car was missing,” he said.

Meanwhile Senawang assemblyman Gunasekaran said damages to the rear windscreen of his Mercedes Benz would set him back RM200.

“I’m not sure who did this. I’ve asked the police to investigate this matter,” Gunasekaran said.
