EX-CJ ILLOGICAL & EVIL: How can the minority Chinese divide the majority Malays

I find the piece “PAS, Umno must unite to save BN and Malays” published in The Malaysian Insider today, most disturbing and devoid of logic and substance. I think its intention is to instil fear and cause anxiety among the people, particularly the Malays.
Calling Malays and Muslims to unite because the Chinese are on the verge of taking dominant control of the country is simply evil. Equating Malay and Muslim power with continued dominance of UMNO/BN is also without logic.
I think the former chief justice Tun Abdul Hamid Mohamad is a poor thinker. For over half a century, it was the Malays and Muslims, through UMNO/BN, who have helmed the most important positions in the country. During this period, why did the Malay and Muslim political parties continue fighting against UMNO/BN for power and influence?
Surely, if UMNO has done the right thing, PAS would not have continued to survive and become stronger. Surely, if UMNO has been fair, PKR would not have emerged and gained strength. Are the majority in PAS and PKR not Malays and Muslims?
It is just so convenient to blame the Chinese on Malay/Muslim disunity. Muslims in Pakistan, Iraq and Syria are also fighting and I wonder who they shall blame since there are no sizeable Chinese or Jewish population there.
I think it is time to tell the former chief justice a secret. If we want Malay/Muslim unity, then the political parties representing them must be able to provide justice and fight for the interests of the majority. It is useless claiming to represent the Malays and Muslims but in reality the struggle was for the selfish interests of their leaders and the well connected.
The emergence of new Malay/Muslim parties is not because the Malays and Muslims want to see further division and disunity among themselves; not also because the Chinese have instigated them. Rather it was their own dissatisfaction and frustration with the existing political parties unable to represent them fairly and adequately.
By the way, there is no a priori assumption that if DAP and PKR took over, there will be dilution of Malay/Muslim political power. For all we know, there may be genuine empowerment of Malays and Muslim thus far kept marginalised and ignorant. For once, just imagine the many “dividends” if the government is more efficiently and professionally run. - TMI
