PUTRAJAYA - MIC cannot blame the Barisan Nasional leadership if efforts to proceed with a re-election of all posts are ignored leading to a split in the party, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic).
He said Barisan leaders had tried their best to help MIC resolve its internal crisis and it was up to the party members to decide their destiny.
"If MIC finds the proposal (for re-election) cannot solve and they have other ways, then just do what they want to do.
"MIC leaders are well-educated and experienced people and don't blame us if later the party is split because of the crisis," he told reporters here.
Muhyiddin, who is Barisan deputy chairman, said there was nothing else that Barisan could do besides advising the leaders to proceed with the elections.
