Policeman’s wife stabbed to death

Four teenagers detained in connection with the case.

IPOH: A policeman’s wife was found dead, believed murdered, with stab wounds on her neck in Taman Tanjung Mas, Tanjung Rambutan here early today.

The body of Izaah Abdullah, 52, the wife of a highway patrol policeman in Slim River, Tanjung Malim, was found smeared in blood on her bed by her son who immediately alerted the police.

Perak police chief Datuk Osman Salleh said between 6am and 8am, four teenage boys aged between 15 and 19, were picked up around the residential area and in Bercham in connection with the case.

He said initial investigations found that the suspects had broke into the victim’s house at 3am.

“One of the suspects, a 17-year-old, is believed to be the son of her neighbour. Police also seized a piggy bank and two mobile phones from one of the suspects. A knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was also found in the house.”

He said this after attending the launch of Perak PEMADAM Strategic Action Plan 2015-2020 here yesterday.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
