He said the construction of the complex, expected to be completed in 2018, had come at the right time and was relevant and significant to Islamic beliefs.
He said the building of the complex was also in tandem with the socio-cultural development in its surroundings, with its location also close to Sabah's borders with neighbouring countries Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Musa was speaking during the ground-breaking ceremony for the court complex in Teluk Likas, Kota Kinabalu, today.
The ceremony was also attended by deputy chief minister Datuk Seri Yahya Hussin; assistant minister to the chief minister Datuk Mohd Ariffin Arif; director-general and chief shariah judge Tan Sri Dr Ibrahim Lembut; and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom. – Bernama
