The police have recorded a statement from Agriculture and Agro-based Industries Minister Ismail Saabri Yaakob this afternoon.
Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar told Malaysiakini that his statement was recorded at the Bukit Aman police headquarters at 3.15pm.
The minister is being investigated under Section 505B of the Penal Code for making a statement that could cause "fear, alarm and disrupt public peace".
Previously, Khalid said police will continue with its investigations despite the Prime Minister’s Office having cleared the minister.
Ismail courted flak over his Facebook posting, calling on the Malays to boycott Chinese traders who did not reduce the price of goods.
The PMO, however, said the minister was targetting errant traders of all races while Ismail claimed that his posting had been taken out of context. - M'kini
