Syaitan Janjikan Kemiskinan

Here is something I received in another discussion list in which I am engaged. 

  

"Khadijah sangat kaya tapi dia mencintai Allah dan Rasul iaitu suaminya sendiri sehingga ketika hendak pejamkan mata dari dunia tiada apa yang tinggal melainkan baju yang bertampal. Kata Syeikh Tariq Jamil rahmatullahalaih, tidak kurang daripada 200 tampal."

This is a story about how poor the prophet's wife became after sacrificing her wealth for the prophet to spread the religion.   

From here it would appear that even in its earliest days the religion required the use of money.  

Now here are some teachings of the Rasul from the Quran:

Surah Ad Dhuha 93:8 "Dan dijumpai kamu dalam kemiskinan lalu Dia jadikan kamu kaya".

Here is the English translation : 

Surah 93:8  "He found you poor, and made you rich."    (wawa jadaka aa-ilan fa'aghna).

This verse was directed at the Rasul. He was found poor and then he was made rich. The word 'aghna' (ghani) is used throughout the Quran to indicate richness. 

Never even once does the Quran say that the Rasul became poor or remained poor.

Here is another verse from the Quran :
 

Surah Baqarah 2:268 "Syaitan janjikan kamu kemiskinan dan kepapaan.." (al syaitan ya iddu kumu faqra..)

Here is the English translation (of the full verse) :  

Surah 2:268 "The satan promises you poverty and commands you to commit evil, while Allah  promises you forgiveness from Him and grace. Allah is Bounteous, Omniscient."

So if you follow the Satan, you will become poor. Conversely if you remain poor generation after generation with no end to your poverty, it also means that you are obviously misled by Satan. 

Because to be rich you must be clever, educated, you must like work, you must work hard, be honest, dont cheat, dont lie, know what to do etc.

To be poor you must be stupid, not educated, lazy, dont like hard work,  be crooked, cheat, lie, dont know what to do etc. 

(Even if you are rich but you became rich not through hard work, it is a matter of time before you lose your wealth).

From these two verses in the Quran, it is obvious that true Islam makes you rich (9:38)

If you follow the satan, you will become poor (2:268).

And do you need money to "spread the religion"?

Lets look at the following verses :

Surah 6:90  "These are the ones guided by Allah; you shall be guided in their footsteps. Say, "I do not ask you for any wage. This is but a message for all the people."

Here the Rasul is commanded to say, " I do not ask you for any wage. This is but a message for all the people. " 

The Rasul did NOT ask for any wages (money) to spread the message.  You dont need money to spread the message.

Surah 34:47  "Say, "I do not ask you for any wage; you can keep it. My wage comes only from Allah. He witnesses all things."

So the Rasul is telling us that he never asked for any wages. He said you can keep your money.  His wages come from Allah.
