UMNO POWER TUSSLE: Strong signs Najib camp is losing & needs to rally Malay sentiment to fend off Dr M

UMNO POWER TUSSLE: Strong signs Najib camp is losing & needs to rally Malay sentiment to fend off Dr M
The political situation in Malaysia has gotten from bad to worse. Factions in Umno seem to be tearing at each other’s throats like elephants, hurting innocent bystanders who have to run helter-skelter for cover or risk injury. And to top it all, the Chinese are again in the spotlight.
Have they run out of ideas to torment the Christians?
Back to 'what more do the Chinese want?'
If not, how do we account for the sudden increase in racial issues and religious incidents, each affecting both camps? All the signs are there, with news media Utusan, which is known to be controlled by the Najib camp, launching attacks against media magnate and tycoon Tong Kooi On accusing him of speculating against the fall of the Ringgit.
Another blog: kronismemahathir.wordpress.com has even accused him of manipulating Tun Mahathir, posting a fake phone chat log as evidence. This incident serves to highlight two important points. 1. Mahathir is under attack and 2. A maliciously engineered attempt to provoke racial conflict by accusing a Chinese of attempting to undermine the stability of the country!
Tycoon Tong Kooi On
We wonder who or which Umno camp is responsible for such heinous fabrications? Najib has retained the Sedition Act, but would this incident tip the scales for the Police to act and charge these mindless provocateurs under the Act?
Boycott Chinese goods
Then out of the blue, we have an Agriculture Minister Ismail Sabri suddenly calling for the boycott of Chinese goods. Ismail was also reported to have posted that: “Malays are still refusing to boycott (Old Town White Coffee) what more when its owner is said to be the DAP Ngeh family of Perak which is known to be anti-Islam. As long as the Malays don’t change, the Chinese will take the opportunity to oppress the Malays.”
DAP elder statesman Lim Kit Siang has called Ismail a ‘rabid racist’ and that he has committed three sins in two short sentences:
Firstly, fanning racism and hatred in inciting Malays to boycott Chinese businesses;
Secondly, spreading the lie that Old Town Bhd was owned by the “DAP Ngeh family”.
And thirdly: fanning religious hatred, conflict and tensions by spreading the false accusation that DAP leaders are “known to be anti-Islam”.
Will Sabri be apprehended for his blatant statement; charged in court and relieved of his Minister post? His foolhardy words are a direct attack on the Chinese who are bonafide Malaysian citizens, which is so unbecoming of a Minister. Now Malaysians know of Sabri’s true colours which were kept under wraps all these years; and it shows that given his low mentality, immature racist statements, he is unfit to be a Minister.
When is the MCA and Gerakan going to respond or will they remark that; it is his own personal opinion? Will this blatant act tip the scales for PM Najib to act and invoke the Sedition Act? I think most of us already know the answer. Whatever happens, the non Malays especially the Chinese are not going to forget his actions.
Pests evolving into pawns
Then we have pawns like that Ridsect Tee, with the brains of a prawn (otak udang) willing to sell their souls for table scraps to insult the religion and the non-Malays with his skewed ideology of a true Muslim. Calling the Chinese ‘ultra-kiasu’ is his favourite pastime. Even moderate Malays are not spared, now that he has testified openly that he is more Malay than us Malays. Really, where to hide my face?
Most of us are immune to his nonsense, but the more he talks, the more the Malays will laugh at his inferiority complex, we see beneath that shallow bald shiny head. Let him continue his tirade, and more votes will go to the Opposition. And No, the Ridsect’s racist rants definitely won’t tip the scales to warrant a sedition investigation.
Bloodshed if the Chinese encroach on 100% Malay territory?
The Datum Jelatek protest is another clue that something big is going on, since it has the hallmark of radical NGO Perkasa’s intervention. Either they are deterring Non Malays from buying the upmarket properties or there an attempt to worsen racial and religious ties, that may lead to a mini May 13th; paving the way for Umno and BN to impose emergency rule. Nope! It won’t tip the scales either for Najib to consider the Sedition act.
Our men in blue
And while our nation is razing to the ground with all the political wrangling, runaway corruption, racial conflicts and religious extremism, our men in blue aren’t exactly dormant.
Deaths in police lockups, rape, extortions and other crimes seem to plague the police force while insisting that our crime rate is down.
As for the IGP, commenting on him is simply a waste of time and digital bytes. His decisions seem to be politically biased towards the opposition, judging by his statements and action, and most people have written him off. Counting on him to do the right thing is met by gross disappointment, as he seems to be running around in circles, making crude decisions while trying to prove his superiority to poor inferior souls like us.
Malaysians still haven’t gotten over the hilarious attempt, which 20 policemen were assigned to detain one harmless political activist but no attempts were made to arrest those hoodlums who were screaming racist expletives and threatening bloodshed.
It is also rather odd, that our IGP hasn’t any interest to investigate the motive behind the murder of Altantuya by his two elite cops. However, it would be interesting to see, how fast the law will clamp down on the renegade cops who raped and extorted a school girl in the recent Kota Damansara case.
Times are bad
Meanwhile, the Ringgit seems to be in freefall which shouldn’t be if our economic fundamentals are strong. With 1MDB hanging like a dark ominous cloud across the nation, things are not about to improve anytime now and we look set to face a recession soon, according to Tengku Razaleigh. Of course the GST is not going to make things any better.
Meanwhile a senior OPEC official claims that the oil price has bottomed out, and could expect to rise to a new high of USD200 a barrel, compared to the current price of USD45. God save this nation, when that happens.
Is the Najib camp losing the plot?
The above incidents prove that the Najib administration is loosing its grip on the nation. He is barely in control with the nation hovering on autopilot. Desperately fending of attempts to unseat him and his faction, his camp have stepped up the ante, with direct attacks on Mahathir and his allies while pulling innocent Chinese bystanders as human barricades to cushion the arrows aimed at them.
But in his desperation to save his political skin, he won’t care two hoots about selling out the nation or the high number of casualties that will be caught in the cross-fire. - MAILBAG
