Zahid, is VIP treatment only for kingpins?

YOURSAY ‘One thing is for sure, there is no special treatment in Hell.’

'Durians for Anwar' claim but Zahid denies VIP perks

Starwars: Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, you wrote a letter on behalf of an alleged gambling kingpin, so why can’t you write a letter using your Home Ministry letterhead to the Prisons director-general to state that Anwar Ibrahim is no ordinary prisoner and that he is was wrongly accused?

But yes, how can you write such a letter for Anwar when it was your buddy, senior lawyer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, who sent Anwar to prison?

Apa Ini?: Indeed, this is the same man who was happy to accord special treatment and support an alleged international gangster/criminal with accreditation letter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and even happy to welcome the alleged criminal home.

He is now trying to sound 'even-handed' where a 68-year-old prisoner of conscience is concerned.

Senior: VIP treatment is only for kingpins, gamblers and triad members.

Mob1900: They're trying to break him again while he's incarcerated. Let's hope they will fail again.

Doc: Malaysia is a great country. The only country in the world where the thieves, scoundrels, rapists, murders, racists, the corrupt, shopaholics and those with absolute low IQ are allowed to run the country.

Mikey!: Former PKR lawmaker Zulkifli Noordin, it appears you really want to see Anwar suffer in prison. Isn’t prison bad enough, that you want to inflict a harder and harsher punishment on him? My God, people like you exist?

Straight talk Joe 51: Zulkifli is trying to prove the unimaginable corruption in Malaysia. Maybe he should lodge a report with all the facts to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

It seems he has a lot of evidence. But if he can't prove it, then he is a iar. No two ways about it.

Isana: One thing is for sure, there is no special treatment in Hell. You get equal treatment there. Crooked judges, corrupted politicians, murderers and the one issuing it, robbers, rapists, bigots and wrongdoers... the queues are long there but your time will come. Red hot burning fire.

Well Thats Fantastic: If anyone is convicted of this or similarly related crimes, it should be treated as a moral/health issue shouldn't it? What good comes from putting non-violent offenders in jail with hard-nosed criminals?

What lesson is being taught to the offender by throwing them in jail and isolating them from society? Does society need protecting from non-violent offenders?

How much does it cost to jail these people versus home detention with electronic monitoring? The old system was found to have been broken long ago and yet still no changes, why?

Thana55: Now it feels like all Malaysians (excluding Umno and their cronies and lackeys) have been imprisoned. So let's all do our bit to break free of the 'prison gates' and out from Umno tyranny. Everyone must stand up for our rights and for what is right!

Gen Half Track: If Nelson Mandela can make a comeback after 29 years in prison, so can Anwar.

'IGP should probe the whole world then'

Louis: Inspector-general of police (IGP), there are millions of people who have different opinion on the Federal Court’s decision, some favourable and some not favourable.

If you want to hunt every one of those who criticise the judgment, the whole police force would have to be mobilised.

And why must you go to this far to get those who disagree? If you feel that the judgment is fair and good, then there is no fear of criticisms.

There is a Chinese saying, "Pure gold is not afraid of fire". Do I need to explain?

Victor Johan: Is IGP Khalid Abu Bakar attempting another haul-up operation like the infamous 'Operasi Lallang'?

Anonymous_1375701728: Guilty conscience pricks the mind, so goes the saying. What about the IGP defying the court order in the conversion case. Acceptable?

Kerana Benar: I remember the same IGP threatened to take action against those who question why the court/police did not touch on the motive of Altantuya Shaariibuu’s murder.

Subsequently lawyer Gobind Singh Deo, the son of Tiger of Jelutong, challenged the IGP to take action against him, but the police chief chickened out. Now the IGP again issues another threat.

Mob1900: Is a Tweeter Cop a real cop?

Tikusmati: Can we get a million people to tweet on the same subject at the same time - let the IGP investigate. -Mkini
