KUALA LUMPUR - The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) has named Zahrah Abd Wahab Fenner as chief executive officer (CEO), effective Feb 13.
Her appointment was announced by Minister of Domestic Trade and Cooperatives Datuk Seri Hasan Malek. Zahrah has vast experience in the field of accountancy, commerce and incorporation of companies.
She was also the deputy chief executive officer (services), when the SSM was formed in 2002, following the merger of the offices of the Registrar of Companies and Registrar of Businesses.
“Based on her indepth knowledge of the workings of the SSM management, Zahrah is seen as being able to bring about distinct changes, apart from enhancing the quality of SSM’s existing services,” the SSM said in a statement.
Zahrah is the fifth CEO of SSM to date. -BERNAMA
