Motion Of No Confidence Against Mappadulung Daeng Mattimung Karaeng Sanrobone : Strong Vibes From Sarawak?

Dont forget to read Zamkata's blog today.    Zam says Najib should not have declared himself a Bugis. It would be better to just say he was a Malay.

Perdana Menteri Bugis Mappadulung Daeng Mattimung Karaeng Sanrobone

Anyway this is from The Ant Daily online newspaper here My comments in blue.

Save Umno, Dr M’s own business; save M’sia, Sarawak wants in

by Jimmy Adit

SARAWAK FOCUS: Sarawakians are not easily tempted into jumping into the political whirlpool former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad has created to drown Prime Minister Najib Razak so that he can install a successor.

(Hi Jimmy. Dr Mahathir has not created any whirlpool. Najib has created a huge stinky cesspool. So far no one from the BN side, either from the Peninsula or from S'wak & Sabah, has shown any cojones to take on Najib and his band of pirates except for a 90 year old man. And he is doing it alone. Looks like he is succeeding too. Feel free to help. Never too late. Any help is useful. We really need committed Malaysians to help rid the country of these pests).

Sarawakians know the problem facing Umno now is a struggle for the coveted post of prime minister, and for Mahathir, he knows too well how powerful one can be if one is Malaysia’s No. 1 politician.

(Dr Mahathir has no plans of becoming Prime Minister again. By being so outspoken against Najib he is also placing his sons' futures - Mukhriz, Mokhzani, Mirzan etc - at high risk because their fortunes are so closely tied to the govt. especially Mukhriz the MB of Kedah. But Dr Mahathir is not worried about his sons' careers. He is putting them all at risk for the sake of the country)

The temptations are there. Pointers are that Mahathir is gaining ground as one by one the Umno big boys are beginning to voice their displeasure and dissatisfaction with Najib.

Even the prime minister’s deputy Muhyiddin Yassin and some Cabinet members are asking him to come out clean on 1MDB, Altantuya, GST and the Tabung Haji land buy.   If one must choose sides, now is probably the time to decide between Mahathir and Najib.

But not for Sarawakians. Not yet.

(There is no place for choice here. There is no need to flip a coin or to think over it. This is as clear as black and white, good versus bad, white hat versus black hat. The country is being plundered.  What is there to think about?)

But why?

The answer is Mahathir himself is not too sure about the successor he has in mind. There has only been general perception of possibilities – Muhyiddin because he is the No. 2 and therefore the natural choice, or for whatever reason, Hishammuddin Hussein.

Unfortunately, to Sarawakians there is nothing to show these two gentlemen will make better prime minister than Najib.

(There are two issues here. The first one is, right now a piece of wood floating in the Rajang will make a better PM than Najib. Anyone can replace Najib. He has as much value to us than a load of trash that fell out of a garbage truck. UMNO which still has 88 seats in Parliament has a sound structure and hierarchy. The deputy president replaces the president. Both Muhyiddin and Hishamuddin can replace Najib and also outperform Najib anytime. Plus they do not have any hungry hippos in the back yard. The second point is whether they still meet our expectations or not is up to us to decide. We are a democracy. The people choose. Here we are talking about the preservation of the BN. I agree it need not be the same as the preservation of Malaysia. If you wish to destroy the BN then let Najib continue as PM. Malaysia may also get destroyed. If you want to preserve Malaysia then kick Najib out.)

Sarawakians know Putrajaya’s political game well, that whoever becomes prime minister will have to come from Umno.

(Well they hold 88 seats in Parliament, their close allies MCA, MIC, Gerakan hold another 12??. They control nine State governments. This is not a game. It is simple numbers. We are a democracy.)

But be that as it may, there has to be someone far better than Muhyiddin and Hishammuddin in Umno. Someone who need not be in Mahathir’s radar. Someone not out to do Mahathir’s bidding for him. Someone not known for his extremist views. Someone more accommodating of all Malaysians irrespective of their race and religion as opposed to someone who insists on ‘ketuanan Melayu’.

(Well Hishamuddin is certainly not in Mahathir's radar nor Mahathir in Hishamuddin's radar. Does that make Hisham a better candidate? But Hisham must rank behind Muhyiddin who is the deputy president of UMNO.  There is an UMNO hirarchy. Well bro if I ask you whether you are an Iban first or a Sarawakian first what will be your answer? Just curious.)

If there is such a person, it is Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.   If Mahathir’s Najib ouster campaign is to save the Malays, Sarawakians will not want to be part of that struggle because there is nothing wrong with the Malays. There is only something badly wrong with some Umno Malays.   But if he wants to save Malaysia and Malaysians, all he needs to do is allow the right Umno Malay gentleman to do it – TRH.

If Mahathir is genuine about saving Malaysia from going bankrupt, Sarawakians are willing to bank their hopes on TRH, a true Malay gentleman without any dark records of misappropriation of public funds or pawning and misuse of national resources and wealth.

(Yang Mulia Tengku Razaleigh is a fine gentleman, par excellence. There is no doubt behind that. If he secures the party's support to become PM, then all hats off to Tengku Razaleigh and lets all fall in line behind the leader. If it is any comfort Tengku Razaleigh and Dr Mahathir recently met in Dr Mahathir's office. Some radars can look over the horizon).

Conclusion :  Adenan Satem is no great fan of Najib. He has addressed Najib as Ah Jibgor in public. Sarawak holds 31 seats in Parliament.  If Adenan Satem gives the green light to withold support from Najib, Najib is a goner.  So indeed Sarawak can play a very big role in ousting Najib, or any other PM.

This is something UMNO must bear in mind, especially in the present circumstances. A chunk of UMNO's Parliamentary seats are in Sabah as well.

Either UMNO gets rid of their president by themselves quickly or they can wait for the situation to get worse and become more indebted to Adenan Satem. It is all about who is in control.
