Sivamalar said.
The extension was given because police said they wanted to trace another person through Zakaria's Facebook account, she added.
"One of the guys from an anarchy group is on the list of his Facebook friends. So they want to trace through his Facebook friends to find him.
"Police have searched his house and found a poster, banner and a 'V for Vendetta' mask, so they strongly believe he is part of the group," she said, adding that Zakaria's house is in Shah Alam.
Zakaria is being investigated under Section 4 of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances Act and Section 148 of the Penal Code.
He was detained along with 29 others on Friday after the rally, six of whom were minors.
But he has not had legal representation till today. Lawyers for Liberty co-founder Eric Paulsen said police should have informed the many lawyers present on Friday night at the police station that there was a detainee requiring legal representation.
