Sabah does not need loan from Federal Gov’t

State has no financial issues as its reserves are sufficient, says chief minister
Musa-Aman,-sabah
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah does not need a loan from the Federal Government through the State Reserve Fund (KWRN) as its finances are healthy.
Chief Minister Musa Aman said, “We have no financial issues as the state’s reserves are sufficient.
“The RM880 million provided for in the KWRN is for those states having difficulty in meeting their financial commitments,” he added.
Musa said this in reply to an oral question from Edwin Bosi (DAP-Kapayan) in the state assembly here today.
Edwin had asked why Sabah had not received any loan from the RM880 million fund.
The Federal Government recently agreed to provide the additional RM880 million for the KWRN.
