ALL CHOKED UP OVER NAJIB: New-found MACC supporters are HYPOCRITE, says Rocky Bru
KUALA LUMPUR - Senior journalist blogger Datuk Ahirudin Attan, also known as Rocky Bru, said those who had attacked the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over its handling of the Teoh Beng Hock incident must apologise to the agency.
Teoh, a political aide to Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah, was found dead on July 16, 2009 on the fifth floor of Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam following an interrogation the previous day by MACC officers over his employer’s alleged abuse of state funds.
Ahirudin said the MACC critics had become hypocrites by having emerged from nowhere as instant champions of the agency.
“For I still remember how not too long ago the mysterious death of DAP staffer Teoh Beng Hock, who had been helping the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission with investigation into misappropriation of funds in the party when he fell to his death, was used by these hypocrites to the max and at every chance to harass the MACC and eventually cow them into stopping the investigation altogether,” he wrote in a blog posting today.
Ahirudin pointed out that the hypocrites went on for a couple of years at least, telling Malaysians how corrupt the anti-graft boys themselves were, that they were Barisan Nasional stooges, and that they were the ones who had killed Teoh.
Senior journalist blogger Datuk Ahirudin Attan says those who had attacked the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission over its handling of the Teoh Beng Hock incident must apologise to the agency.
He added that Teoh was also later used as a rallying point for hypocrites’ political parties during national elections and demonise the MACC by playing up sentiments during rallies.
“Go, support the SPRM (MACC) as you all should have done all along.
“But first, scums, have the decency to apologise to SPRM chief Abu Kassim for the injustices you’ve committed against him and his men and women these last five to six years,” he wrote.
There had been an outpouring of public support for MACC, including from the Opposition, following the arrest of its officers recently.
MACC deputy chief commissioner (prevention) Datuk Mustafar Ali said the arrest of its officers by the police had to some extent jeopardised investigation on SRC International Sdn Bhd (SRC) and the RM2.6 billion fund issue, allegedly channelled into a bank account under the name of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. - Therakyatpost
