IS AZMIN ALI BUILDING A NEST CALLED DEIG WITHOUT TELLING PR?

Imagine if Azmin is from PAS. The screaming would have been deafening. What? Was his actions of moving around billions of ringgit of state assets discussed with his coalition partners, and is what he wants to do a part of the Pakatan Rakyat common policy framework? Lim Kit Siang would be foaming in the mouth. Was it even mandated by Azmin’s party? Or simply, did his Exco know of it?
Steady! It’s a PKR Menteri Besar. Just hold your horses. Just rap his itchy fingers, postpone the matter, PR will talk about it among the chiefs and DAP will remind Azmin who call the shots in this Selangor state government. Too bad not even a little of this can be pinned onto Tok Guru Haji Hadi Awang, the PAS president. And if it had been a BN MB, it’s abuse, period. No talk.
Selangor’s Menteri Besar Incorporated must have been in a terrible mess for Azmin to have to undertake an exercise that entailed transferring all of MB Inc’s assets worth billions into a newly incorporated RM2 company, which, of course, has shares and directorships vested in the proper state nominees. Approved by the State Assembly? Nah, let’s not bother them.
I heard that there was a federal strategic investment company which has not much assets but could borrow from banks billions of ringgit on the Rakyat’s guarantee, who also had that generic type of nominees. Tony Pua thinks that is incredulous especially when Parliment and the cabinet did not know much of it before. He’s the DAP Selangor state chief, so let’s hear him repeat himself, this time. Against the grand idea of a friend!
Unless double-standards are applied, this superfluous idea should not see the light of day. Suffice to say to those who are not bothered to understand, in summary, it is easier to steal under the proposed modifications that from the previous set-up. Lucky that Saari Sungib raised the alarm, otherwise God knows what could have happened.
Khalid Ibrahim, the ex-MB, known to be such a boring fastidious guy had given Azmin enough excuse to restructure. Tch, tch, naughty Khalid, or is it Azmin who had grand plans? As for DAP, the issue is simple. If it is ‘them’ it screams, if it is ‘us’ just throw in a friendly spanner in the works, then talk. What’s there to talk about? You tell me!
That’s the trouble with Malaysian politics. It’s not black and white – right or wrong. It’s more like what can we make out of it. If it is worthwhile for us then it could still be a right idea. Let’s work something out. If this shit DEIG of an idea is still alive after DAP puts its fingers in it, we better watch out. In fact, we should watch out all the time. GHB better know that too.
As a closing remark, just remember that you can sell state assets held by DEIG at whatever price, should the handful of government servants sitting on its Board agree to it. How is that compared to at least 27 of the 52 state assemblyman to agree for that to go through. It is, of course, not that straightforward. But then that’s the idea.
I do wonder, in my more mischievous mood, why Azmin did not forewarn us about this spring cleaning? Oh, he is a quiet worker, they say.
