MAHATHIR IS JEALOUS: Ku Nan runs of out ideas when defending Najib

MAHATHIR IS JEALOUS: Ku Nan runs of out ideas when defending Najib
Dr Mahathir Mohamad is jealous after seeing the successes achieved by Malaysia today, said Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
Speaking at a function in Kuala Lumpur today, Tengku Adnan said a small group of greedy people were undermining the country and causing a perception crisis.
"These people attacked our prime minister, they said all sorts of things to weaken the nation, until our economy and currency been attacked, as though they have no confidence.
"Only a small group of people has no confidence in the country. They are greedy people who failed to get what they wanted.
"One of them want to become prime minister but failed. Another was once a prime minister but (is now) often jealous of the success we achieved today," he said, but without naming PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim or Mahathir.
He said the public should think rationally when recalling what the country had gone through and its successes.
"Sometimes we forget what we had today [..] that we need to thank the almighty God.
"Please do not lose what we already have today. Don't follow your hearts.
"If you do, then we will be doomed, more so when our hearts are filled with arrogance. This is the problem we face now.
"You can be healed if you are jealous and low-minded. But if you are arrogant, you think you are always correct. That will destroy us," he said.
He also urged the people to use their brains against unscrupulous traders and the high cost of living, but not against the government.
"Don't fight the government. People are blaming the government all the time. Why don't you just sit down and think; why did we introduce GST and other things? There must be a reason."
Responsible government

According to the BN secretary-general, the ruling party could have chosen a populist approach to win the general election, but it chose to be a responsible government to bring development to the country.
"We have forgotten our history. Our forefathers left us much. The people should think what Wangsa Maju was before and who they were before.”
As someone who rose from a poor boy to become a politician, he said this was always in the back of his mind.
Tengku Adnan, fondly known as Ku Nan, also revealed that he sometime dressed casually in jeans and T-shirt and mixed with the public, including beggars and buskers, to find out what was in their minds.
"Why don't you come forward and help us. Give us feedback,” he told the audience.
He added the government had created a conducive environment for the people to become lawyers, engineers, businessmen and ultimately multi-millionaires, he noted.
“You think may the grass is greener on the other side, that the opposition is better. But you may find the grass is poisonous there but it’s not possible to go back," he cautioned.
Meanwhile, he shrugged off the question if he had heard Najib tell former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin that RM2.6 billion had gone into the prime minister's bank account.
Muhyiddin, who is the Umno deputy president, said Najib had admitted to this when met in his office but declined to reveal the identity of the donor.
Tengku Adnan and party treasurer Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah were also there, according to Muhyiddin. - M'kini
