NAJIB GOING GONE: He cannot buy me - ex-Terengganu MB throws support behind Muhyiddin

NAJIB GOING GONE: He cannot buy me - ex-T'ganu MB throws support behind Muhyiddin
Former Terengganu menteri besar Ahmad Said has stressed that he cannot be bought off.
"People can't buy off Mat Said. The PM cannot buy Mat Said with positions or money. I will reveal more at a later time.
"If I had accepted, I would have been a millionaire. I didn't take a single sen," he said.
Ahmad had abruptly quit Umno after he was removed from the state government last May 12.
However two days later, he decided to remain with the party, raising questions if Najib had paid him off to stay.
Malaysiakini had published readers' comments on this speculation in two 'YourSay' articles and was subsequently sued by the prime minister, who said the readers' allegations were malicious.
In his speech at the Kemaman Umno division annual meeting today, Ahmad (photo) swore he has never been involved in any form of corruption.
"Mat Said has never taken money. I showed the PM my accounts last year.
"I had about RM100,000, and a RM200.000 overdraft. Which menteri besar has overdraft I ask you?" he said.
Still sore
Ahmad was appointed Terengganu menteri besar in 2008 after Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin refused to swear in Idris Jusoh for a second term as head of the state government.
In 2013, Ahamd was forced to sign an agreement that he would resign as menteri besar within a year.
He was then removed days before his daughter's wedding reception, an act which Ahmad said hurt his reputation.
Despite having brushed off the episode last year as a misunderstanding, Ahmad appears to still be sore about it. - M'kini
