ONLY NAJIB & ROSMAH WOULD BELIEVE IT: RM2.6 bil 'appreciation' for fighting IS

ONLY NAJIB & ROSMAH WOULD BELIEVE IT: RM2.6 bil 'appreciation' for fighting IS
With so many versions, surely one of them will get it right.’
Armchair Newspaper: So the donation was from somebody in the Middle East to Najib Razak personally, not for Umno, as a thank you for the Malaysian prime minister for fighting IS (Islamic State). Wow, this is really something.
This web of lies is getting out of hand. Soon we will be told that the donation is actually to fight the sinister green Martians invasion of the earth authorised by US President Barack Obama himself.
Mushiro: A new explanation every week. Now the RM2.6 billion is an "appreciation" to Malaysia from Saudi Arabia for ostensibly championing Islam and for practising Sunni Islam.
Where is the money now, what was it used for and why was it banked in Najib's personal account? And why did the money come from Tanore Finance Corporation's account and not the Saudi government? Every lie has to be covered by more lies.
Vijay47: Whenever I listen to tales about Najib, my already confused mind gets even more disorientated.
First of all, the IS problem, while worrisome, never really reached epic proportions in Malaysia; a few misguided mat rempits and assorted groupies felt that Syria or wherever was where the action was and headed to points west where their pains were duly rewarded by their being blown up to bits and hardly in a condition to enjoy anything virgin or otherwise.
So where does Malaysia's sterling role come in? Let us say it did, in mysterious ways unknown to mortals, then why was the largesse given to Najib and not the country?
I don't recall this Bugis seafarer venturing anywhere with his trusty steed and rusty keris to do battle with Arabian knights and windmills. And the terrorists in the Philippines and Patani, were they also rewarded with RM2.6 billion by the kindly Saudis?
As he will soon be joining the ranks of the unemployed, I eagerly await his book, ‘Myths, Fables and Tall Stories’.
HardTruth: Either Kuantan Umno division chief Wan Adnan Wan Mamat is extremely stupid or he thinks that Umno supporters are extremely stupid. This spin is not for the rest of us. Umno's leaders don't give a heck what others think of them anyway.
Anonymous 1689721435778173: This just goes to show the lack of intelligence of some Umno division chiefs.
Have the Umno division chiefs forgotten that Najib praising the IS fighters at one stage? The more all these sycophants try to scramble over each other to cover up for Najib, the more they expose him and his lies.
Justine Gow: Indeed, I don't recall Malaysia sending troops to fight IS in the Middle East. Even if it did, why should the "donation" go into someone's personal bank account or even the account of a political party?
Was it the private army of the Bugis warrior or Umno who was fighting IS? If someone really sent Malaysian troops to fight IS for a foreign country, he could be accused of being influenced by bribes, as the money from the foreign country went into his personal account.
Quigonbond: The excuses are getting from bad to worse. If it is fighting IS, isn't that using government resources, then shouldn't the money, which is consideration for services rendered, be given to the government instead of into a private account of a politician?
Magnus: Would I be right to also suspect that Najib did not declared to the tax authorities the generous US$31 million he “donated” to Umno’s coffers and the US$681 million whopping "donation" he received from his generous Saudi Arabian mates (and who as we know, are reported widely as being practising members of religious apartheid and persecution of fellow citizens like the good, and not at all unholy, paragons of virtuous Muslim brotherhood and sisterhood that they surely are, and who as we also know, are miles apart in substance and form from the unholy nutters and barbarians at ISIL/IS) but that Najib would also have declared for tax the circa RM27 million of interest income he earned from AmBank on that "donated" cash he held in his personal AmBank account for about five months before he allegedly withdrew or wired out US$650 million of the "donated" cash to somewhere and closed the personal account on Aug 30, 2013.
NNFC: We tell children not to lie because later on, they have to tell more lies to cover up the original lie. And what does the government teach us?
J Ng: The spin is now getting more ridiculous. With so many versions, surely one of them will get it right. Malaysians should be grateful to Najib as this mysterious donor trusted him more than the Malaysian government.
Justice Pao: From BBC and Wikipedia: In March 2013, it (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) took over the Syrian city of Raqqa - the first provincial capital to fall under rebel control.
In January 2014, it capitalised on growing tension between Iraq's Sunni minority and Shia-led government by taking control of the predominantly Sunni city of Fallujah, in the western province of Anbar.
On June 29, 2014, the group proclaimed itself to be a worldwide caliphate, with Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi being named its caliph (and the group was renamed IS).
From the information above, it looks like IS was officially formed in 2014. Even if March 2013 is used as the time IS was formed when they conquered their first territory, it showed that either Wan Adnan or Najib is lying as the money was deposited into Najib's account in March 2013.
Or is Najib now claiming to be able to foresee the formation of IS? - M'kini
