WITH DR M'S BLESSINGS: Eve of Merdeka protest may leave Najib with no option but to QUIT
Singapore just celebrated its golden jubilee anniversary of Independence. The story board was one that was carefully structured to inspire, embolden and motivate the population to prepare to cross the next fifty years of history in proven form and success.
Celebration was clearly visible all over the Island State with free admission to all the named and famous parks with free bus and train rides for everyone – including migrant workers. Adding to the festive mood was a fifty percent slash in prices at almost every eatery and shopping mall.
Meanwhile Malaysia will be gearing towards Medeka celebrations to mark its own story-line of fifty-eight years of independence.
But just on the eve of 31st August 2015 there could in all probability be a record turnout of citizens on the streets to demand for Najib’s resignation and the dismantling of his new cabinet.
But will Malaysians pour into the street in their trademark fashion of a Malaysian Ahimsa as they protest peacefully with songs, entertainment and colorful flags and nosy paraphernalia like in past Bersih events?
PM Najib attending the National Day Parade at Singapore's Padang, Aug. 9, 2015. Singapore held the Golden Jubilee National Day Parade on Sunday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of independence.
Or will they be so intimidated by the ham-fisted warnings from the Home Minister and the repeat twitter warnings of arrests from the Inspector General of Police, that they will choose to stay home to avoid troubles, injuries, and uncertainties of their personal safety, security and future?
Or will we witness just before the Bersih 4.0 mass gathering deadline, the Conference of Rulers taking that collaborative and unprecedented stand to command the prime minister to dismantle his new Cabinet and resign as well?
Or will Najib’s new Cabinet decide to counsel their pack’s leader and spouse to buckle up and leave in the name and best interest of national security to bust a potentially overwhelming Bersih 4.0?
Whether Najib and his new cabinet like it or not, accept or deny, the truth is the nation is upset with the entire cascade of scandals, allegations, unexplained actions taken and answers belted on a daily basis these past several months.
Even Umno is at war with Najib’s own Umno.

Meanwhile the country is fraying up real bad on several seams – its ringgit is sinking; investments are not growing; civil service is deplorably unmotivated; speculation and ridicule is spreading across all levels of society; the global media is increasingly expressing serious concerns over the nation's state of affairs.
But the patriotic pro-Najib main stream media is singing incessant blues , completely ignoring the harsh realities on the ground. If not for all the breakthrough viral uploads on the new media, we may have easily fallen for the old rookies.
One wonders now who then are the traitors to this nation’s future? Perhaps the Bersih 4.0 deadline will provide the real answer. - MAILBAG
