Zambry unperturbed by rumours of MB change in Perak

Perak MB notes it is not the first time that such political speculation is created by the opposition.

IPOH: Claims by the opposition that there would be changes in the Perak government including replacing the menteri besar, have not bothered Zambry Abdul Kadir and its work as usual for him.
He said it was not the first time that such political speculation was made by the opposition as it had occurred since 2012.
“This is the work of the political speculators, it’s their job…even if there’s going to be the slightest change, they will speculate.
“This is not the first time, (it happened) in 2012 and 2013, purportedly that I was not contesting, then I would no longer be menteri besar, and that I would be replaced in 2014,” he told a news conference after chairing a meeting of the Perak State Agriculture Development Corporation, here, today.
Zambry said he had never panicked or become restless over such speculation but continued carrying out his responsibilities as menteri besar and looking after the people in Perak.
Kuala Kangsar PAS had claimed that the appointment of Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as deputy prime minister, the first from Perak, in the recent cabinet reshuffle, would see a change in the state Barisan Nasional leadership, including the menteri besar.
On the opposition’s refusal to divulge their sources of party funds, Zambry said the opposition should not be criticising only one side.
“All this while, they have been talking about openness, transparency and so on, and calling this new politics, honourable politics and so forth.
“But when the prime minister suggested that all political parties declare their financial sources, they (opposition) did not want to. This shows their true colours,” Zambry said.
