The other areas with unhealthy air quality include Port Klang (163), Malacca and Petaling Jaya (157), Putrajaya (156), Bukit Rambai (155) and Banting (151).
The Star Online reported that two flights from Penang International Airport to Subang were cancelled and two to Indonesia delayed with the worsening smoke.
Firefly flight FY2213 and Malaysia Airlines flight MH5403 to Subang, scheduled for 5.50pm, were cancelled.
AirAsia flight QZ0387 to Surabaya was to depart at 7.15pm and AK0299 was set to leave at 6.55pm for Medan, the report said. Also cancelled was Lion Air flight (JT03136) from Medan to Penang.

Earlier, the visibility at Bayan Lepas, Penang, was at 900m, while at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Sepang, it was 500m and in Petaling Jaya, 400m.
An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality; 51 to 100 (moderate); 101 to 200 (unhealthy); 201 to 300 (very unhealthy); and 300 and above (hazardous).
