ARROGANT NAJIB BELITTLES THE SULTANS: UMNO BLOGS HURL INSULTS AT THE MALAY RULERS

Two days after the Rulers issued their unprecendented call for the authorities to conclude the investigations into 1MDB, there has been no comment from members of Cabinet 1MDB, neither any comment from the Police Force, the Attorney General's Office, the MACC or Bank Negara.

In fact, Utusan Melayu delivered an insult to His Royal Highnesses by burying the news in a small column in the middle of the paper, whereas other English dailies throughout the country had given great prominence to this call.

As I had written earlier, this is the first time in living history that the Council of Malay rulers were forced to make a specific mention on a commercial crime. Such is the nature of the 1MDB beast that it has caused many "firsts" as a result of the wanton disregard for everything that has held up this nation.

Now the silence of Najib in this matter is actually a very stupid move. By keeping silent, he shows himself to be acting in an arrogant way. Any basic political analyst will tell you dont be arrogant when people know you are weak.

The question now is whether UMNO is willing to stick to this arrogant attitude.

Arrogant move will backfire

This is a key point and I think those who are alligned with Najib will continue to advocate this method, but those who are neutral or against Najib will rise up.

If word goes out to the masses that the Rulers had issued this call and Najib still kept silent, then Najib's position is untenable.

Of course the key player in this equation is Dato Seri Zahid Hamidi, currently away in Washington DC, but totally aware of what is going on.

He could easily order KBAB to say something. What KBAB says, when he says , will reveal what the police is going to do.

Now if any of the Armed Forces personnel were to something before hand, well that is an altogether different matter.

Fightback with insults

On another note, some UMNO blogs are already insulting His Highnesses.

Hishammudin, Khairy mentioned that it is wrong for people to assume that the rulers have lost confidence in Najib because the rulers did not say that. AG Chambers reiterated that the 1MDB case has been "NFA'ed' despite Bank Negara requesting the AG Chambers to review their earlier decision.

The comment by Hishammudin and KJ surprises me.

The comment by the AG Chambers does not. After all the AG Chambers did not appeal the Baginda's acquittal. Aaah well, Apandi it is, Apandi it shall be. - http://spin-kings.blogspot.my/
