KUALA LUMPUR: The LRT Kelana Jaya line train service was disrupted for about half an hour due to a faulty train door system at Abdullah Hukum Station towards Gombak, this morning.
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd Prasarana chief executive officer Ahmad Nizam Mohamed Amin in a statement today said the 7.23am incident caused the train to experience a delay and operate slower than usual earlier.
“The faulty train lost its door lock status and thus could not move in automatic mode.
“Staff took some time to evacuate passengers and troubleshoot the problem but in the end it had to be removed from service in manual mode,” he said.
During that process, other trains had to be held longer at stations.
Ahmad Nizam said that normal service resumed at 8am.
