NAJIB'S FATAL BLUNDER: KISSING THE ISRAELIS MAY COST HIM & ROSMAH THEIR 'SAFE PASSAGE'

NAJIB'S FATAL BLUNDER: KISSING THE ISRAELIS MAY COST HIM & ROSMAH THEIR 'SAFE PASSAGE'
Just as talk is circulating for a ‘safe passage’ package to entice embattled Prime Minister Najib Razak’s to abdicate his untenable position, his continued penchant for getting himself into trouble again at the international front is really uncanny.
If the 1MDB scandal and the RM2.6billion in his personal accounts fail to unseat him, this latest Muslim-Jewish relations fiasco probably will. Until the full reality of what he has done sets in, Najib will still be in a limbo thinking that he managed to pull of an international public relations exercise that will make him look good, on the world stage.
Israeli online newspaper The Times of Israel has praised Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for calling for a new dawn in Muslim-Jewish relations during his speech at the United Nations general assembly in New York on Thursday.
Najib’s call for improvements in Muslim-Jewish relations, which the paper said was a departure from the generally hostile tone taken by previous Malaysian prime ministers against Jews and Israel, and it was notable for a Malaysian leader to speak positively about Judaism and to recognise Israel as a legitimate interlocutor.
And with the rest of the international media ganging up on him, exposing all his corruption, weaknesses, misdeeds and scandals, it is rather surprising that the Israeli media happens to be the one to vouch for him!
Mixed Public reaction and uproar towards the incident
Najib has since denied holding any formal talks with Netanyahu but merely shook hands with the man. So, Malaysian Muslims shouldn’t be embarrassed or take it too personally as it would not bring international shame to the country.
However cushy-ing up with Israel will not go down well with radical Muslims in this country. Many believed in our leaders when they sow hatred towards Israel, so this hand-shake, smile and Najib’s goodwill with praises for each other with the Israeli media lavishing extra praises for our PM will backfire big-time on Najib soon.
Making an international call at the UN meet for Muslim-Jewish ties and a Malaysia-Israel diplomatic relationship is against every precept and tenets that the Umno Government has stood for; ie: the Malay Muslim agenda that centred around the formation of international policies and the core to political posturing locally.
The amount of time dedicated in the House of Parliament to condemn Israel, in mosques, demonstrations outside embassies, the brainwashing to inculcate hatred and despise in our Malaysian children on the evil of the Jews for so long will come to naught if relations return to normal.
So, are the Jews being forgiven by the leader of UMNO despite its hostile legacy and UMNO is now officially the Friend of Jews?
Should UMNO be congratulated for their so-called long term international political strategy, or will it end up as a political suicide for Najib and UMNO?
Indeed it looks like Najib has recognised Israel as a sovereign nation, although a while ago, he was quoted as saying the Jews were an evil that supports the opposition! Umno division leader Abdul Aziz Kaprawi recently accused DAP of links with the Jewish, and now it looks like Umno is a friend of the Jews instead. How ironic.
A political chameleon.
At home, Najib is a political chameleon, who hollers about Chinese Tsunami and pitted the races against each other, while on the international front he talks like a moderate, offering safe haven to 3000 Syrians and now friendship to the Jews. In short he sings a different tune to different audiences.
With the Malay-Muslim audience, he will call for Malay-Muslim supremacy to ‘safeguard’ Malay rights and Islam and with a non-Muslim audience; he will call for ‘racial and religious unity’,
Is it any surprise when he is in front of the Israeli PM, this forever changing colours chameleon will call for Muslim-Jewish ties? Does he think his latest stunt will earn him the respect of a world class statesman? How is the rest of the Muslim World going to react?
Friendship with Israel
Benjamin Netanyahu (left) and PM Najib (Right) during the United Nations General Assembly in New York
For once many agree that this is the only decent thing Najib has done so far, while others feel that it is another of Najib’s red herring to prop up his international image ruined by corruption, human rights abuses and sentient thuggery by his regime.
At least the millions paid by BN to those foreign contractors and consultants to organize and write the Foreign Policies of Malaysia have not gone to waste.
Many people believe that Malaysia has more to gain befriending Israel than the violent and emotional Arabs. The Jews leads in technology, while Arab nations offer nothing more than religious fanaticism, violence and intolerance.
Some actually believe that Israel is the most powerful nation on earth and rules the US by proxy. Singapore's greatest first step on independence was to get closer to Israel. This was Singapore's survival strategy. Closeness with Israel meant closeness with the 4 veto controlling super powers.
Widespread public speculation
The numerous questions going through the heads of Malaysians are:
Wouldn’t it be an unthinkable moment for a Malay Muslim Malaysian PM to meet and shake hand with the Israeli PM? Instead of shaking hands or friendly chat with Netanyahu at the UN, shouldn’t he be telling Netanyahu straight to his face, that we don't like what Israel is doing?
Is Najib a wounded man desperately looking for friendship, that he has to resort to normalizing friendship with Israel?
Najib under corruption probe by MACC, & several other overseas authorities
Well, if our Bugis Warrior can golf with US President Obama, he certainly can be friends with Israel PM Netanyahu, even though Israel is regarded as the Muslim’s greatest enemy.
Or is the Israel Times disclosure a paid marketing advertisement by APCO or ex-APCO PR men hired by Putrajaya?
Won’t cozy-ing up with the Israelis anger our Arab darlings who so lovingly donated RM2.6 billion to Najib’s coffers?
Or could this be the start of another donation bidding war- first from the Arabs, the Chinese and perhaps the Jews?
Isn’t it hard to believe that a mere handshake would move the Jewish media to praise Najib on Jewish-Muslim relationship?
Isn’t that funny?; because if Anwar Ibrahim or Lim Kit Siang were to even "wink" at Netanyanhu, let alone give a handshake, all hell would have broken loose with Utusan the first to splash it on the front page.
Now the MSM is going to scratch their heads silly, to find an excuse to down play or justify the issue, while Umno Sec.Gen Tengku Adnan will have to tell the media again to ‘kill’ the story for the sake of national unity.
Will there be repercussions?
Now that the cat is out of the bag, how will Jamal Yunos and Ali Tinju of the Red Shirts react to such embarrassment? Will they organize a Red Shirt rally to protest over Malaysia's apparent friendly tone towards Israel or will they bottle up their anger and pretend not to know, since Najib is their hero?
Will Perkasa, Isma and Pekida dare to show their faces and chide the Umno President for acknowledging Israel’s existence?
Isn’t it true that we now have a bungling PM who is a betrayer to the Palestinian cause?
Will the Perak and Pahang Mufti dare to make a stand and call for Jewish-Muslim unity instead of destroying Malaysian unity?
Why is there a deafening silence, the chest thumping, the condemnation or the hair pulling antics that goes so well with all things remotely Jewish?
What about the ‘Jaguh kampongs.’(Village Champions), the fiery Umno Youth, Najib’s silly sycophants or the Religious Authorities, when you need them? Aren’t they going to make a stand or rise up to condemn Najib’s latest blunder?
All the posturing and effort to ban the usage of the Allah word or the official Islamic religious agencies freak reaction to Bible confiscation and burning threats will come to naught if news of Najib’s friendliness towards Israel goes nationwide.
All the moronic hollering of Malay Maruah (honour), fighting for Islamic rights, and extremist statements will have to cease. Criticism of the Jews at home for domestic support or misusing the ‘Jews’ as the bogeyman will become a thing of the past.
Instead, we have to start praising the Jews and treat them like allies while agreeing that Opposition cooperation with Israel cannot be branded as unislamic.
When is Najib going to realise that friendship with Israel has just changed the very way our Government operates when it comes to religious posturing?
Isn’t this hypocrisy at the highest level, when our PM of Endless Possibilities has to turn to the Jews for moral support when all along, we have been made to believe the Jews were our perpetual sworn enemy?
Will he later blame this blunder on another Jewish conspiracy to bring down his democratically elected government? - MAILBAG
