KUALA LUMPUR - A leader from the #Merah169 movement demanded today the police detain and investigate Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad for his seditious action in openly calling on voters to unseat Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Pointing out that the police have been quick to act on “regular people” accused of sedition, Mohd Ali Baharom, who also heads the Association of Armed Forces Veterans, said the same treatment should be accorded to Dr Mahathir whom he said has consistently inciting hatred against the Najib administration.
“I want him to be questioned. When regular people make comments deemed seditious they are quickly apprehended.
“But Dr Mahathir has been consistently inciting hatred and had even openly said he was committing sedition as he is calling for the people to unseat Datuk Seri Najib Razak,” Mohd Ali, or popularly known as Ali Tinju, told reporters here.

The former soldier also demanded the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to probe Dr Mahathir and his two sons, Mirzan and Mokhzani, for corruption.
He said there have been repeated calls in the past for the authorities to act on allegations that Dr Mahathir had abused his power during his 22 year tenure as prime minister to enrich two of his sons. - Malay Mail
