Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) will not help the opposition to campaign during the upcoming Kuala Kangsar by-elections if they end up with three-cornered fights.
"We said (to the other opposition parties) 'don't do three-cornered fights'.
"If they go against our suggestion, our advice, then we are not obliged to (help)," PSM leader Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj said in a press conference at the party headquarters in Brickfields today.
Kuala Kangsar is right next to his constituency at Sungai Siput, the MP pointed out.He would have no problems helping the opposition if it is a one-on-one fight, Jeyakumar added.

PSM secretary-general A Sivarajan also said that they want the opposition to make a stand on the by-elections first before PSM decides on anything.
The June 18 by-elections were called following the death of incumbent Kuala Kangsar MP Wan Muhammad Khair-il Wan Ahmad and Sungai Besar MP Noriah Kasnon in a helicopter crash on May 5, during the Sarawak election campaign.
The two constituencies traditionally belongs to PAS and PKR has been in talks with the Islamic party regarding the by-elections.
However, PAS has been adamant about not budging from its position.
