MyPPP AGM to decide on BN membership on Sunday

The MyPPP annual general assembly this Sunday will decide on the party's continued membership in BN, said party president M Kayveas (above).
He told Malaysiakini that although the party's supreme council had announced their decision on Saturday, the matter had to be formalised through the AGM.
The AGM will be held at the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH).
Kayveas also said that he was still the legitimate president of MyPPP - a post which he has held since 1993 - and this had been reaffirmed by the Registrar of Societies (ROS).
The letter, dated May 18 and signed by ROS director-general Surayati Ibrahim, had stated that Kayveas remained president pending a probe on some party-related issues.
Kayveas said that he had sought a clarification from the ROS in order to ensure that he could call for the AGM.
In view of this, Kayveas said BN should take note of this development and not allow Maglin Dennis D'Cruz, who claimed to be MyPPP acting president, to hold an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) at the PWTC this Saturday.
Kayveas said he would take action against BN if the Maglin's faction was considered the legitimate leaders of MyPPP.
"Yesterday, I had sent a letter to BN and pointed out that (Maglin) was not the legitimate president," he said.
In the run-up to the recent polls, Maglin's faction had claimed that they had sacked Kayveas from the party though the latter disputed this.
Adding to the confusion was Maglin's faction claiming that disciplinary action had been taken against Kayveas on BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor's orders. -Mkini
